Naturreservat - Oxhult

Oxhult is a 15 ha large deciduous forest reserve that lies just south of Smedjeån. The reserve creates an island of deciduous forest in an area mainly dominated by spruce. The reserve mainly consists of older beech and oak forests where the oldest trees started to grow during the late 1800s. Older maps confirm that there have been broad-leaved deciduous forests here since the 1600s.
