Autumn is here, with all that entails in the form of colours, flavors and a wonderfully crisp atmosphere. Enjoy! Here are Visit Laholm’s best tips:
Laholm municipality has over thirty nature reserves. Just pick and choose! If you want the splendor of the autumn leaves, we recommend Osbeck’s beech forests above Hasslöv, Svarareskogen in Skummeslövsstrand or Oxhult west of Hishult.
Laholm’s picturesque town center is full of unique shops. Park (free) at Stortorget or Hästtorget. You who take the bus and get off at “Laholm’s bus station” reach the inner city on foot in five minutes.
Lagaoset, where the river Lagan meets the ocean (Laholmsbukten), is dazzlingly beautiful all year round. High dunes and forests.
Laholm’s cozy farm shops are full of locally produced food: Skottorp’s dairy, Dönardalen’s delicacies, Ahlamossen’s game enclosure, Ulvered’s deer enclosure and more. Embark on an autumn tour!
At Hökafältet in Mellbystrand you will find the mountain bike trail Buktenbanan. It is a 12-kilometer-long marked trail that offers family-friendly mountain biking in the beach nature reserve.
16 electrical cabinets in Laholm’s cosy town center have been clad with photographs that shows the surroundings in past times. This historical review is part of the cultural-historical project “In the rearview mirror” which is a collaboration between the cultural department at Laholm municipality and Södra Hallands Kraft.
What is more rewarding on a rainy (and sunny for that matter) autumn day than visiting one of the area’s museums or art galleries? The Museum of Drawing at Hästtorget, Rådhuset (Old Town hall) at Stortorget, Stadshusgalleriet (Town Hall Gallery) and the Art Gallery in Hishult are some tips.
